Who I work with
I’ve been working in the fitness industry for over 20 years and fell in love Pilates nine years ago. I now specialise in teaching Pilates to specific groups of people. My specialist area is teaching the over 50’s who want to keep their bodies moving, men and women who have been diagnosed with Osteopenia or Osteoporosis, and suffers of chronic back pain and other related problems. I also have a special interest in post-natal health.
I first discovered the beneficial effects of Pilates after the birth of my daughter. I was experiencing lower back and pelvic pain, and my back just didn’t feel strong anymore. Within four weeks I felt stronger, had a greater feeling of support and had improved mobility. It made me aware of how important Pilates can be in post natal health. With my Sport Therapy qualification and degree in rehabilitation, I quickly decided that Pilates was the next step.
Why I teach Pilates
I love teaching Pilates. It’s the most satisfying thing I have ever done, especially when people tell me how much better they feel, sometime just a few weeks after joining one of my classes. The results I have experienced with Pilates have inspired me to pass on to others the remarkable effects Pilates can have on the body. My mission is to spread the benefits of Pilates to as many people as possible, so we can all keep our bodies moving.
